No more petrol and diesel cars on EU roads by 2050
The European Committee wants to have all petrol and diesel cars off the road by 2050. By 2030 the usage of these cars has to be reduced by 50% in urban areas. It is one of the plans for the future of transport in Europe with the aim to reduce the CO2 emissions by 60% by 2050. At the moment a quarter of the CO2-emissions in the EU come from transport. On Monday the 28th of March the full report on this is to be released by the European Committee.
